Reduction
3M Water Filtration cartridges have innovative sub-micron
filter systems to reduce harmful cysts (Cryptosporidium
and Giardia) and fine sediment. The premium blend of
high adsorption activated carbon combined with the graded-density/asymmetric
media provide high efficiency and long life.
Scale
Control
The detrimental effect of scaling, for example,
in coffee, vending and ice machines, goes beyond
degrading beverage taste and presentation, since
it reduces the life expectancy of these machines.
3M Water Filtration offers both scale inhibition
and scale control products.
Scale inhibition products utilise proprietary food
grade polyphosphates, to slow down scale formation.
Scale control products use proprietary mixes of
ion exchange resin or reverse osmosis membranes,

Dissolved Solids Content
For water with a high content of total dissolved solids
(TDS) such as nitrates, reverse osmosis is the only
effective way to control water quality. 3M Water Filtration's
reverse osmosis filtration systems are designed to reduce
TDS by up to 98%. Novel and innovative systems also
incorporate a TDS/pH-adjustment feature to ensure that
sensitive equipment continues to function properly as
water can be tailored to the application or machine.
