Abbeychart Limited is a major supplier of parts, spares and consumables to a wide spectrum of industries, both in the UK and overseas. We supply into the vending, cold drink, catering, healthcare, refrigeration and plumbing sectors.

Accordingly, it is the policy of Abbeychart to undertake our business with the recognition that all our day-to-day operations inevitably have some effect upon the local, regional and global environments. Abbeychart's management are therefore committed to a process of continuous improvement to minimise these environmental impacts and to prevent pollution.

As part of our culture of improvement Abbeychart has developed this policy statement which details our commitment to assess our environmental impact, to set targets for sustainable environmental improvement, and to measure and report our performance against those targets.

Specifically, Abbeychart will...

1. Meet and, where possible, exceed all of the requirements of regional and national environmental legislation; we will also meet all other requirements as defined by our customers or our trade associations

2. Minimise the production of waste in all operations

3. Promote the recycling of materials whilst striving to reduce material consumption wherever possible

4. Work with its suppliers in minimising the impact to the environment through their operations, their methods of packing and their modes of transportation

5. Protect the visual amenity of its local environment

6. Ensure that environmental issues are assessed within the business and that its employees are suitably trained to take sound environmental actions

7. Monitor progress and publish an Environmental Performance Report on an annual basis
