All aboard!

The Abbeychart Express this year rolled out on the picturesque Worth Valley railway in West Yorkshire, pulled by our Managing Directors’ steam locomotive, 45212.

On a cloudy, but thankfully dry 12th August, many customers, suppliers and friends of Abbeychart enjoyed a day trip between the busy market town of Keighley and through the beautiful Bronte country, passing Haworth and on to Oxenhope.

This will be the last time for a while that 45212 will be available to pull this regular and popular event, as it will soon be retired for another (expensive) overhaul. A great time was had by all and particularly popular was the real beer dispensed by hand pumps in the buffet car!.

Linzi completes her Degree!

Abbeychart’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Linzi Sahota-Moore has celebrated her successful completion of the BA Hons in Business with Economics from the Open University.

This huge achievement was completed over a number of years and not without personal sacrifices. She has somehow managed this on top of three promotions from Abbeychart, bringing up her 14 year old son, running a busy household and being a wife to her husband, Ken. An inspirational story and full credit to Linzi for achieving this! Well done.
